I'm both Autistic and physically disabled.
I first heard of the I CAN Network in March 2014, while volunteering at the Cycling Australia Masters Track National Championships - one of many track cycling events I've volunteered at.
I compete as a para-athlete in other sports, and can ride a bike (though my balance is terrible). I've never been on a track bike, let alone raced one on a steep banked track.
My 'I Can' challenge is to race a track bike (gulp).
Kids on the autism spectrum face challenges every day. They need inspiration, encouragement and support, just like me.
Help the I CAN Network bring out the AWE in AWEtism.
* $25 helps train a mentor
* $50 assists a mentor to reach a regional school
* $100 assists one young person to attend an I CAN camp
* $250 delivers a youth-focused workshop on the autism spectrum
* $10,000 delivers a mentoring program in a school for a whole year
(Note: For technical reasons the I CAN Network is currently fundraising with the support of FYA)
